LeMeheux estudia las causas del “subdesarrollo” e investiga científicamente las causas del desempleo juvenil, la pobreza, la exclusión, los conflictos, los enfoques integrados al desarrollo rural, la protección de los recursos, el analfabetismo, ya sea tribal o por prejuicios culturales, la mala gobernanza, la construcción de la paz, las cuestiones de género, el mantenimiento de la paz, los retos socio-económicos, especialmente el desarrollo de comunidades y la organización comunitaria a nivel local, nacional y global. También evalúa y asesora a varios sectores de las economías nacionales, especialmente los sectores sociales.Investiga los métodos de obtención de la producción sostenible de alimentos y seguridad alimentaria.

Dr David Akibo-Betts

Dr David Akibo-Betts is an eminent agricultural/Environmental Biologist who also has a degree in biological sciences and certification in advanced methods of agricultural experimentation. He is also certified in IT, computer programming and project management. He has considerable hands-on field and laboratory experience in breeding cereals for resistances to viruses, fungi, bacteria and insects, planning and conducting agricultural research on biological control of mealybugs and postharvest technologies. His areas of specialty are project management and food security in Africa, where he has either worked or conducted studies in 14 countries including Libya in North Africa, Sierra Leone Ghana and Nigeria in West Africa and the Central African Republic, Burundi,
Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Dr. Akibo-Betts has held significant positions including Senior Scientist, Regional Coordinator and Supply Officer with highly reputable international organizations including the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) in Nigeria, the Sasakawa Africa Association (SAA) in Japan and the United Nations Organization in New York, USA.Dr. Akibo Betts has been a consultant to the World Bank and UNESCO.
